Background   The current HL7 official FHIR URI for the SOPT Code system is  https://nahdo.org/sopt Changing this URL requires deprecating or retiring the old version and creating a new one and is the responsibility of the HL7 Terminogy Authority (HTA). A new Jira tracker should be logged for HL7 Terminology Authority (HTA) to consider. The CDC and representatives from NAHDO should indicate agreement that CDC is the source of truth. CDC and HL7 should consider the ramifications across the industry if the code system canonical URI is changed if the canonical URI is changed - VSAC would also need to indicate the change as well Decision Before considering these trackers, CDC must formally request HL7 's HTA to change the SOPT URL and provide a valid ValueSet to reference in PHINVADS.  Until then we will continue to use the Current SOPT URL and reference the VSAC valuesets.
