Description
Both Immunizations and Medications map quantity values between C-CDA and FHIR, but there is no additional guidance on how this should be done.
CDA quantities contain a numeric value and a unit which SHALL be UCUM (at least by documentation in the schema and most C-CDA conformance statements).
FHIR quantities contain a numeric value and unit / system / code attributes. At a minimum, CDA unit can populate the FHIR unit field. But since C-CDA should always be UCUM, we could go one step further and suggest mapping CDA's unit to FHIR's code and populating system with "http://unitsofmeasure.org".
Also, similar to time guidance - indicate how to map the CDA's PQ vs IVL_PQ quantities to FHIR quantities.
