      Will add documentation saying:

"If a binding is present on an element with multiple types, the binding applies to all types that are bindable (i.e. CodeableConcept, Quantity, etc.).  If there is a need to define type-specific bindings, then the alternate-bindings extension can be used."

    Description

Binding affects several data types, this is documented at https://hl7.org/fhir/R4/terminologies.html#4.1

It is possible to bind an element with more than one data type. The effect and advisability of this should be documented in https://hl7.org/fhir/R4/terminologies.html#4.1

I believe that the binding affects all types, but there is no clear documentation of this.

An example of an element with multiple data types that is bound is VitalSigns.component.value in https://hl7.org/fhir/R4/vitalsigns.html In this case the binding is only relevant to the Quantity, and not to the CodeableConcept or string. I do not know what is intended for the Range, Ratio or SampleData.
