Existing WordingThis comment has been entered in a STU comment for STU Release 2.0 - see http://www.hl7.org/dstucomments/showdetail_comment.cfm?commentid=1988 HL7 CDA® R2 Implementation Guide:Public Health Case Report – the Electronic Initial Case Report (eICR) Release 1, STU Release 2.0- US Realm February 2020 This section SHOULD contain zero or one [0..1] entry (CONF:4411-546) such that it i. SHALL contain exactly one [1..1] Gender Identity Observation (identifier: urn:hl7ii:2.16.840.1.113883.10.20.34.3.45:2019-04-01) (CONF:4411-547). The cardinality is 0..1 for gender identity observation. 1. What happens if the patient may have multiple gender identities captured ( e.g. one incidence of "Choose not to disclose" and a second instance of "female")? 2. if only one is allowed, does eICR want the latest? 3. Is this meant to be an array? If not, What do we do if multiples are provided?
