    Description

      Specification - Extended

HL7 Version 2.5.1 Implementation Guide: Syndromic Surveillance, Release 1 - US Realm

      Document Description

      extended per TSC Tracker https://jira.hl7.org/browse/TSC-28

      Proposed Wording

Page 13 references a new value set for “Initial Acuity”. Then, it is referenced as simply “Acuity” for OBX segment change from O (Optional) to RE (Required but can be Empty). These appear to be the same element as both Initial Acuity and Acuity reference the LOINC identifier of 11283-9. Page 26 (Messaging Triggers) shows Usage of O (Optional) as does Page 53 (Example and Usage of OBX). I would have expected consistent Usage change to RE.
