    Description

      p. 2, 6
The use of the term "job" may not be broadly understood to include unpaid work (voluntary or informal caregiving - e.g., for family or friend). Need to capture work done as informal caregiver as this can impact person health. This can be achieved by ensuring that informal caregiving meets the definition of "voluntary" or by adding a third concept beyond employment, voluntary work. May be data elements specific to informal caregiving, e.g., to capture the scope of duties performed, hours worked, amount of respite or additional help.

      Existing Wording:

The two class models are different as a worker may be exposed to health risks that are directly related to their job and a household member (in this DAM, described as a minor, though not restricted only to a minor) may be indirectly exposed (secondary exposure) to risks from the worker’s job. For this indirect exposure, information about the worker’s job is described.

      Proposed Wording:

The two class models are different as a worker may be exposed to health risks that are directly related to their formal or informal work and a household member (in this DAM, described as a minor, though not restricted only to a minor) may be indirectly exposed (secondary exposure) to risks from the worker’s formal or informal work\. For this indirect exposure, information about the worker’s activities are described\.
