To address variation in staging of pediatric cancer, the Toronto consensus guidelines are being used internationally for population-based cancer surveillance. Most of the staging systems required for Tier 2/Tier 3 of the guidelines are included in the Cancer Stage Type Value Set. However, the following are missing and recommended to be added:

• St. Jude/Murphy (SNOMED code 254371009)
• International Retinoblastoma Staging System (IRSS)
• PRETEXT for hepatoblastoma
