Agree to add rationale as a synonym for purpose.   On the liquid template, it would be added in parentheses after Purpose - Purpose (Rationale).  Add an "Alternate Name" to the definition and include "Rationale" as the alternate name. Deprecate "rationale", add a standard status extension, add to rationale and to set the status code to deprecate to make the rationale deprecated.
