The requirement to use the history type bundle over the collection bundle is purely historical. Earlier iterations of the specification (prior to the definition of the SubscriptionStatus resource) required history in order to provide id-only notifications.

While the requirement no longer exists, this would be a breaking change. When polling the existing community, implementers were not convinced that it was worth changing.

Propose adding information to the specification explaining the choice.

    Description

The use of bundle type 'history' in the notification bundle seems impractical, since it makes entry.request mandatory. In our perception it seems to make more sense to use bundle type 'collection' as a 'lighter' option.
