    Description

Composite measures make use of multiple component measures to produce a combined score. Is that true that all component measure scoring process should be standardized  either all in "an increase in rate" or all in "an decrease in rate" before combing a composite score? For example, 1 of the component measure is a inverted measure and other 2 are increased measures. Is there an additional process needed in the composite measure calculation or just treat all 3 component measures' score no difference?
