Description
TRAN is bound to EncounterMaternity(Encounter).hospitalization.admitSource 0..1
*^short="If mother transferred for delivery set code = \"hosp-trans\" (Transferred from other hospital)". hosp-trans is from a code in this valueset that is bound as preferred: https://hl7.org/fhir/R4/valueset-encounter-admit-source.html (codesystem http://terminology.hl7.org/CodeSystem/admit-source).
- Y should be defined as admitSource = http://terminology.hl7.org/CodeSystem/admit-source#hosp-trans (including codesystem)
- Blank can be defined as code being absent (NCHS may interpret as Unknown)
- N can be defined as code is present and not = http://terminology.hl7.org/CodeSystem/admit-source#hosp-trans,
- recommend http://terminology.hl7.org/CodeSystem/admit-source#other
Document that if source of transfer is unknown, the following should be UNKNOWN
HOSPFROM hospitalization.origin.name
ITRAN is bound to EncounterBirth(Encounter).hospitalization.dischargeDisposition MS
*^short="If infant transferred within 24 hours of delivery, set code = \"other-hcf\" (Other healthcare facility)"
The binding (preferred strength) of this field is to an opaque UBC valueset that looks something like this:
There is an existing HL7 codesystem https://terminology.hl7.org/5.4.0/CodeSystem-discharge-disposition.html that mimics the UBC definitions.
I think we should amend the definition so that:
- Y = dischargeDisposition = http://terminology.hl7.org/CodeSystem/discharge-disposition#other-hcf
- N = present, and any other value. with a recommendation for http://terminology.hl7.org/CodeSystem/discharge-disposition#oth
- Blank = code being absent (NCHS may interpret as Unknown)
Document that if destination of transfer is unknown, the following should be UNKNOWN
HOSPTO hospitalization.destination.name
