Considering the diagram in 3.2.2, the actors in the narrative are reversed.  For example

The request goes from the data source to the data consumer, but the requested action does not complete immediately.

But the diagram clearly, and logically, has the request going from the data consumer to the data source.  This error occurs throughout section 3.2.3.
