To the core extension generatedFrom, we will add a note in the 'intro' section that says:

"While a Request generated from a Definition will typically adhere to the protocol, generatedFrom does not imply [adherence](link to adherence extension) because not all needed data will necessarily be populated and the request might be modified in such a way that it no longer adheres before it is made active."

To the core extension adheresTo, we will add a note in the 'intro' section that says:

"Adherence may be asserted after the fact.  It is possible for a Request or Event to adhere to a Definition even if the author/performer of the action was not aware of the Definition at the time the action was taken/requested."

    Description

It's possible for something to be generated from a definition and then tweaked in a way that means it no longer adheres to it.  (It may also make sense to update adheresTo to say that something might adhere to a definition even if the definition wasn't considered at the time the resource was created.
