Description
Knowing "Ability to latch onto breast for feeding" is a BSeR Referral Observation is great, but there won't be any interoperability unless we also nail down: what's the LOINC code? What's the answer data type? If coded, what's the answer value set? If quantititative, what's the unit? Something like "Maternal concern" is completely underspecified. Even something like "Baby's name" and "Baby's sex" are underspecified - what if there are multiple names? Do you want Patient.gender or one of the US Core extensions?
Also, just listing codes is insufficient. How many of these observations should be shared? If someone has hypertension, do you pass only the most recent blood pressure? The last year's worth (including the continuous measurements when they were in hospital)? A life-time's worth?
Which Diagnoses can come back for Hypertension?
