Organizations and OrganizationAffiliations can declare a network relationship this relationship is not inherited by the practitionerRole.  Similarly, any network affiliation declared by a practitionerRole is not inherited by the organization.

    Description

To what extent can indirect relationships between resources be inferred?

      For example:

      • Suppose I have a OrganizationAffiliation which is part of a Network, and a PractitionerRole which is associated to that OrganizationAffiliation through the Organization.
      • Can it be assumed that the PractitionerRole is part of that Network? Or must the PractitionerRole have the same pointer to the Network?

Apologies if this is already answered in the spec - please let me know where if so.
