US Core 6.1.0 has changed the name of this profile to Observation Clinical Result. QI-Core should inherit the changes from US Core 6.1.0 and include only the following additional changes:

      QI-Core Profile-based path Action Include in QI-Core 6.0 Justification
QICoreObservation.status Keep YES (Constrain from US Core) USCDI – Change value set binding to required for non-negative-observation-status (to assure disjoint relationship with Observation.cancelled
QICoreObservation.Slices for category Keep YES (Modify as per US Core 6.0) USCDI – US Core 6.0 changed Clinical Test Result to Observation Clinical Result. The category slices use preferred binding to ObservationCategoryCodes and category:us-core with required binding to  US Core Clinical Result Observation Category
QICoreObservation.code Keep YES (Modify as per US Core 6.0) USCDI – The US Core 6.0 changed to Observation Clinical Result with extensible binding to LOINCCodes(i.e., change from the current QI-Core binding for .code)
QICoreObservation.effective[x] Keep YES Same as US Core 6.0 – limited to dateTime
QICoreObservation.[value[x] http://hl7.org/fhir/us/qicore/STU5/StructureDefinition-qicore-observation-clinical-test-definitions.html#key_Observation.value[x]] Keep YES USCDI – US Core 6.0 includes only valueQuantity, valueCodeableConcept, and valueString. QICore alsoincludes valueBoolean, valueInteger, valueRange, valueRatio, valueTime, valueDateTime, valuePeriod.  Retain all QICore current value datatypes
QICoreObservation.dataAbsentReason Keep YES USCDI – US Core extensible binding to DataAbsentReason
QICoreObservation.interpretation Keep YES Not included in US Core/USCDI but has value similar to lab tests as discovered by eCQM community. Retain extensible binding to ObservationInterpretationCodes
QICoreObservationClinicalTestResult.basedOn Do Not Add NO This element comes from the QDM to QI-Core mapping. Any relationship can be managed using CQL timing expressions.
QICoreObservationClinicalTestResult.partOf Do Not Add NO This element comes from the QDM to QI-Core mapping. Any relationship can be managed using CQL timing expressions.
QICoreObservation.component REMOVE NO Not used in existing measures. Rather than requesting nested laboratory tests, eCQMs have used specific LOINC codes to indicate the desired lab test.
