This is recently raised by abenoit. 

In the guidance, there are references to map the CCDA authors to provenance resource. Some examples of this guidance for /author in CCDA to FHIR provenance:

There are a couple concerns with this suggestion:

1. Forcing the use of Provenance to get the author information for a resource
2. Conflicting guidance with Basic Provenance – suggestion is to record “last hop” - http://hl7.org/fhir/us/core/basic-provenance.html
