The http://hl7.org/fhir/2022Sep/codesystem-research-study-classifiers.html CodeSystem includes 75 terms from an external source (Scientific Evidence Code System, SEVCO, from https://fevir.net/sevco) and were copied with permission for convenience to use to support a Study Design Value Set (http://hl7.org/fhir/2022Sep/valueset-study-design.html) used in both ResearchStudy and Evidence StructureDefinitions.

This was a temporary solution to support the value set for the R5 Ballot and would be better handled for long-term sustainability as an external code system (with a commitment and process to maintain it from the Scientific Knowledge Accelerator Foundation) and derivation of the value set from the external code system.

To resolve:

1) Get an external code system identifier from HTA for SEVCO.

2) Create a full convenience copy of the SEVCO external code system in THO.

3) Request a THO publication.

4) Revise the Study Design Value Set CLD to use the SEVCO code system.

5) Remove the SEVCO terms from Research Study Classifiers CodeSystem.
