      Add a supportingInfo extension that can be used on any Request/Event resource to provide a reference to resources such as Citation, that provide supporting information for instance-level resources.

      As part of applying, make sure there aren't other supportingInfo type extensions already defined that could used/expanded.

      Also note in the definition of the extension that how references to citation information would be rendered from other content such as markdown is typically specified in IGs.

    Description

      This resource should be part of FHIR as citations are common in reports and a formal representation of a citation is useful.

      Support for adding citations to Compositions, DiagnosticReports and annotations is needed. Not just as reference but also as hyperlinks from strings/markdown.

      How this is done defined in the Citation resource and referred to from these resources and  datatypes.

      Such reference should be possible to individual Citation resources as well as to Lists of Citation resources and DocumentReferences.
