We need to capture additional information related to the items (devices, medications, …) used during a Procedure.

Currently there is the element “used” (CodeableReference) in Procedure. We need to also capture the amount, its role (goal), the sequence of use, the route, the administrationDevice and the intake site. 
Below are examples of additional information related to the items that we need to capture:

(1) Mechanical Ventilation applied using a Puritan Bennett ventilator with the following settings:

• Mode: SMIV
• Resp rate setting: 12
• Pressure support: 8 cmH2O
• PEEP: 8
• FiO2: 100%
• Tidal Volume: 350 ml

(2) Oxygen applied at 2 liters/minute per nasal cannula

• Procedure: oxygen therapy
• Amount: 2 liters/minute
• Route or device used:   nasal cannula

(3) Left elevated 2 inches off of the bed using small pillow.

• Procedure: Elevation of foot
• Amount: 2 inches
• Site: Left foot
• Used:  small pillow

(4) IV periperal line inserted using an 18 gauge Angiocap and covered with a clear dressing.

• Procedure:  Peripheral line insertion
• Used as focal device:  18 gauge Angiocap
• Used: clear dressing 

(5) Wound dressing cleansed and applied.   Cleansed with 2 2x2 gauzes and 20 ml of normal saline.   A 4x4 Telfa dressing applied using paper tape.

• Procedure: Wound cleansed and dressed
• Used:  2 2x2 gauzes to clean wound
• Used: 20 ml of Normal saline to clean wound
• Used: 4x4 Telfa as dressing
• Used: paper tape as dressing
