Will add "gender" as a CodeableConcept bound to the AdministrativeGender value set as "recommended" in the FamilyHistory resource. ?In the genetic pedigree profile, we'll make it required, extensible to allow for complex genetic/social genders.?

    Description

The current FamilyHistory genetics-pedigree model does not make it explicitly clear the gender of extended relatives. While to RoleCodes for immediate relatives are implied (e.g. PAUNT = paternal aunt, and SIS = sister are assumed to be a female relatives), with extended relatives the use of codes falls apart ( "MCOUSN" = maternal cousin, it is not clear if this is a male or female... what about 1st cousin once removed - female ... 2x removed? ). Including gender in the model ( FamilyHistory.relation.gender = M/F or Unk ) make this explicit. The relationship for extended relatives ('EXT' or cousins ) can be calculated by tranversing the directed acylic graph, which is necessary when drawing the pedigree at the minor trade-off of adding complexity/redundancy to the model.
