Description
Add a "long-term stay" reporting scenario for handling encounters longer than a configurable period.
This would be implemented by:
1) Adding a "normal-reporting-duration" parameter, defaulted to two weeks that would represent the period for a normal reporting cycle.
2) Change the standard workflow to add an "encounter-modified" trigger entry with a condition of "if the encounter is longer than the normal-reporting-duration and the event is reportable, invoke report-eicr"
3) Change the "check-reportable" condition to add the criteria that the encounter is within the normal-reporting-duration.
This approach needs the EHR only needs to implement an "encounter-modified" trigger, which is defined conceptually as "some unit of work was completed that resulted in changes to the record of this encounter" So encounter-modified maybe isn't the best term, but that's the notional name for this concept.
