      Hi Radhika!

FHIRcast does not require the user of SMART on FHIR. This is clearly specified with normative language here: HL7.FHIR.UV.FHIRCAST\Session Discovery - FHIR v4.0.1

The index page that this issue points to is intended to be informative. We'll make that more ovbious.

    Description

Is it a mandatory requirement for the FHIRcast apps to use SMART on FHIR mechanism?

      Existing Wording:

The driving application integrates the Hub, the SMART authorization server and a FHIR server. As part of a SMART launch, the app requests appropriate FHIRcast OAuth 2.0 scopes and receives the initial shared context as well as the location of the Hub and a unique hub.topic session identifier.
