    Description

      Current wording:

In healthcare settings, additional demographics may also be collected and used in matching (for example, ethnicity, administrative gender and birth sex)

      Proposed wording:

In healthcare settings, additional demographics may also be collected and used in matching (for example, ethnicity, administrative gender and sex assigned at birth)

Since stakeholders can alter their birth certificate the "birth sex" may be changeable and not very reliable for matching.  Suggest changing "birth sex" to "sex assigned at birth".  There is an associated LOINC® code: 76689-9 Sex assigned at birth defined as "The sex that was assigned and recorded on the birth certificate at the time of an individual's birth."
