      This affects all ExplanationOfBenefit profiles that have a supportingInfo benefit payment status slice, which currently includes Oral, Inpatient Institutional, Outpatient Institutional, and Pharmacy.

      The follow code will be added to the CodeSystem C4BBSupportingInfoType:

      Code: benefitpaymentstatus

      Display: Benefit Payment Status

      Definition: Indicates the in network or out of network payment status of the claim.

      All profiles with a benefit payment status slice will be changed to have:

      Category changed to fixed value http://hl7.org/fhir/us/carin-bb/CodeSystem/C4BBSupportingInfoType|benefitpaymentstatus

      code with a required binding of C4BBPayerBenefitPaymentStatus
