As the IG is currently authored, the R/E Observations are listed in some of the capability statements even though the R/E Observations are described as "draft specifications". The R/E observation profiles are not included in the Patient Application capability statement.

It seems as if the R/E observations are included in some of the capability statements as a means of getting them implemented regardless of the fact that they are "draft specifications".

As previously noted, R/E observation profiles are not included in the Patient Application capability statement. This means patients cannot access R/E Observations that have been provided about them. Not providing ability for a patient to query for race and ethnicity observations about them is problematic and concerning. Please remove the R/E observations from all capability statements until they are formally and properly vetted by the necessary communities.
