      AOEB Query/retrieval through the API as defined by this IG is optional and has been addressed in the overview through FHIR-34954.

      Additionally, the following language has been added to the IG per FHIR-34964:

      Note: The AEOB could be accessed via a web portal, mobile app, or other technology that is authorized to connect to the AEOB API.

       

      The CapabilityStatement will include AEOB Query and retrieval as a MAY Capability Expectation.

       

      Will not use the CARIN EOB profiles as determined in FHIR-34965

    Description

      Use of a FHIR API either to accept requests from or return completed Advanced EOBs to the member must be optional.  Optimally, the PCT FHIR API uses the EOB profiles defined in the CARIN BB IG.
