Will review the value set to determine if we need all of the values in the value set and then give examples of where they would be used.

For the Instance-order - will clarify that this is used in generating a schedule on a medication administration record (MAR).

Will update value set to include a hierarchy for the of the values under "order".

    Description

The MedicationRequest.intent value set is a little unclear in some cases:

      • The instance-order code has a definition that implies it is used for medication administration.  However med admins should be in the MedicationAdministration resource, not MedicationStatement.
      • It isn't super clear what the difference is between order and original-order.  Or really between order and any of the other "order" codes (reflex, filler, instance, original).
      • It isn't clear what the "option" value is doing here.  It talks about RequestGroup, but the value set is only used by MedicationRequest.

I'm open to whatever the WG wants to do to clarify stuff, but it seems like either removing some of the overlapping or irrelevant codes, and/or beefing up the descriptions would be appropriate.
