Data source directs  consumer persistence? should allow pointing to operations as well - submission of data for arbitrary consumption is done by operations in a number of places - e.g. measure reporting, unsolicited attachments.  Diagram should point to K rather than L (and we can get rid of 'L' as a labeled point).
