Where you are using a term that is defined in the glossary, the word should be a hyperlink to the glossary definition of the word. 

This does mean that your glossary will need to be hyperlink (anchor) enhanced. 

And this does mean that the words you include in your glossary, when used in text, need to be enhanced with a hyperlink to that anchor.

minimally useful, when the word is first used.

I noticed this specifically with "segment the data" in the second paragraph of the section 2 on background. (which I don't find in the glossary, but do find segmentation...)
