Clarity: "The 'instant' data type is not used" should be 'Time' data type.

The phrase "instant in time" is used several times in this section, usually referencing a point in the time continuum:

The first use, "time stamp which is either an instant in time," references the Time datatype. The next sentence states "The 'instant' data type is not used".    Recommend replacing with "the Time data type is not used".

A subsequent states "example of the effective[x] when the time stamp is an instant in time:"

Phrasing: "even though the measurement is taken in Japan", consider "even if the measurement was taken in Japan".
