Drug searching is currently string-based on specific RxNorm term types. This leaves a number of gaps for searching for drugs including searches for discrete data elements like form and strength. Also, synonyms are not supported at all, which is a significant gap for a consumer based API.

This search should include the ability to find drugs by a name that may not be covered, but that have alternatives that are.
