There are two different notations of "status".  1) the endpoint is generally expected to be usable (or not), and 2) the endpoint is currently offline (health check status, e.g. someone tripped over the power cord and the server is temporarily down). Endpoint.status is intended to represent #1.  We will clarify this in the definition.  #2 would be in extension space, as you'd want timestamp (last time the health was checked), etc.   Endpoint.status Definition : The endpoint status represents the general expected availability of an endpoint.   Comments : Temporary downtimes or other unexpected short-term changes in availability would not be represented in this property.     In addition, we will add a comment around maintenance windows to Endpoint.period: Endpoint.period Comments : Temporary downtimes or other short-term changes in availability would not be represented in this property.     Information about regular health checks or short-term downtimes may be represented in extensions.
