    Description

Users of mCODE should easily find out whether using mCODE comes with any licensing for UMLS codes. It should be clear which licenses apply. We should only use UMLS codes if free for use in the scope of mCODE. If international use would come with a licensing cost,  like the annual per system cost of SNOMED CT concepts that are not in GPS, then we should not use UMLS codes.
