All status codes are mapped to one of these codes.", but reviewing pages like http://hl7.org/fhir/valueset-diagnostic-report-status.html andhttp://hl7.org/fhir/valueset-observation-status.html, it's more accurate to say that "some status codes are mapped". 

We might want to provide comprehensive mappings, or else back down in the language on "http://hl7.org/fhir/codesystem-resource-status.html#4.3.14.432.2" to avoid over-promising.
