Have discussed with both the Pharmacy Workgroup and the SMEs for the project.

We will create a MedicationAdministration profile with some of the constraints that are present in US Core MedicationRequest.

    Description

Is there really no need for an IG specific MedicationAdministration profile? Given that the US Core MedicationRequest profile constrains .medication to an extensible list of RxNorm codes, should this requirement also apply to a MedicationAdministration resource? Given that dosage is mentioned in the background, should MedicationAdministration.dosage at least be Must Support?
