      The  requirement is best met by extensions.  Some very common dates are already accounted for by explicit attributes.  Extensions should be as generic as possible, regional usage should be quoted as examples.  Individual extensions can in future be considered for elevation to core where there is sufficient support and requirement.

    Description

      If you're not nailing down the types of dates, then you're effectively just introducing an extension in-line because no-one will be able to understand the element if they don't understand the code.
