Add statement: "This IG is solely focused around Drug-Drug interactions. It is true that vitamins, herbals, and food may also have interactions with therapeutic drugs and cause adverse events. However, the representation of these entities with EHR systems is not as standardized as therapeutic drugs. Future versions of the IG might add additional use cases and clarification on how to handle these entities."

The IG is solely focused around Drug-Drug interactions, yet vitamins (as an example see: https://www.uspharmacist.com/article/drug-interactions-with-vitamins-and-minerals), herbals (as an example see: https://www.aafp.org/afp/2017/0715/p101.html), and food (as an example see: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3191675/) can also have interactions with drugs and cause adverse events. Consider expanding the IG to include these interactions as well. At a minimum, since vitamins can also be ordered by the physician, these should also be included in the IG.
