Given that the FHIR resources cited in this guide are not widely used in the US, other standards (NCPDP, PMIX) are widely used in PDMP uses cases, and this guide does not seem to support the ability to simultaneously interrogate multiple state PDMPs (which is possible via existing tools), the introduction needs to clearly lay out why implementing this guide – vs. using/improving existing solutions – is valuable to the industry.
