    Description

      Delete sentence. This makes it sound like data element filtering and compliance with state, federal, or an individual’s privacy preference is haphazard or unnecessary. There are several use cases which data element
      filtering is necessary and warranted. FHIR’s inability to support granular data element access/use shouldn’t be communicated as an end user/individual’s problem. Disparaging users’ needs isn’t aligned with patient-centered care.

      Existing Wording:

      However, in some cases the use-case may call for returning an arbitrary collection of elements of interest, potentially joining content across multiple resources.
