Medical devices often have several production specification fields that are familiar to end uses and it makes sense to support this element in the DeviceComponent. Given the structure of the productionSpecification it also allows one to express the manufacturer name and model number in this element along with those fields expressed in the 11073 ProductionSpecification attribute.
