Description
We currently have the following guidance in the Vital Sign Observation template description:
The following is a list of recommended units for common types of vital sign measurements:
Name | Unit |
PulseOx | % |
Height/Head Circumf | cm |
Weight | kg |
Temp | Cel |
BP | mm[Hg] |
Pulse/Resp Rate | /min |
BMI | kg/m2 |
BSA | m2 |
inhaled oxygen concentration | % |
While this guidance is helpful, it would have more impact as a conformance statement. Recommend adding the following conformance statement beneath existing CONF:1098-31579:
- The units SHALL be as follows:PulseOx and inhaled oxygen concentration is % , Height and Head circumference is cm, weight is kg, Temperature is Cel, Pulse and Respiratory Rate is /min, BMI is kg/m2, BSA is m2 (CONF:1098-32958).
