Rebuild this vale set in VSAC to align with the current VSAC exclusion text definition in VSAC:

      • Exclusion Criteria:
CVX codes that have a CVX "status" of either "Pending" or "Never Active" AND CVX codes with CVX "Nonvaccine" property = True.

These 4 codes are "Non Vaccine codes" as seen here (https://www2a.cdc.gov/vaccines/iis/iisstandards/vaccines.asp?rpt=cvx) See Table 2 "Non-Vaccine codes"

95 tuberculin skin test; old tuberculin, multipuncture device
96 tuberculin skin test; purified protein derivative solution, intradermal
97 tuberculin skin test; purified protein derivative, multipuncture device

    Description

Immunizations use the CVX code system, and most terms in that code system are for vaccines. However CVX codes 95 - 98 are a special case because they represent tuberculin skin test procedures, not actual immunizations. So I think we should provide explicit guidance in the Immunization Medication Information (V2) template on how to handle those codes. I can see two options.

Option 1: Explicitly allow those codes even though they aren't really immunizations. That implies we would have to allow a translation child element for CPT-4 code 86580. So either we would have to expand value set 2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1010.8 to include that one CPT-4 code, or add another MAY constraint for a new value set containing just that one CPT-4 code.

Option 2: Explicitly disallow those codes and state that they should go into the Procedures Activity Procedure (V2) entry template. That implies we would have to update conformance statement 1098-19207 to state that the code MAY be selected from CVX.
