Existing Wordingthe following text which is located about 2/3 of the say down page 196 is very useful information that i have never seen before although I reviewed this spec many times! This info is misplaced and should be moved to the section about Result Observations, not be embedded in the section about the trigger codes. If it is useful for trigger codes, then there it can remain here as well, but there needs to be some explanation about why it is useful here. This statement explains how preliminary results (e.g., for culture tests) should be reported. I still believe a 'Result observation status' should be included - similar to what is seen in ELR reports - but this at least provides a way to report preliminary results. Here is the text that i am saying needs to be moved: Result Observation (V3) includes a statusCode to record the status of the result. This template has further constrained the statusCode to either "active" or "completed" and requires that a value must have been reported: ? "Preliminary" results (e.g. a test has been run and preliminary results have been reported) are represented with a statusCode of "active" and a reported preliminary result must be contained in the value element. ? "Final" results (e.g. a test has been run and final results have been reported) are represented with a statusCode of "completed" and a reported final result must be contained in the value element.
Proposed Wordingmove (or at least copy) this text to the Result Observation section to explain how to handle preliminary results.
