This project will create a joint HL7/NCPDP Consultant Pharmacist Consult Note guidance document. The guidance document will address the use of either CCDA Consult Note or FHIR Consultation Note Profile. This will be a guidance document, not an implementation guide or FHIR profile. Previously, NCPDP published the NCPDP Consultant Pharmacy Consult Note guidance document to address how CCDA Consult Note is to be used to address Consultant Pharmacy reporting requirements.. This project will update the NCPDP Consultant Pharmacy Consult Note guidance document as described above to address both the C-CDA Consultation Note and the C-CDA on FHIR Consultation Note Profile. The product of this project will be published as a joint NCPDP/HL7 document. Note: Initial review has not revealed any additional constraints or extensions on the FHIR Consultation Note Profile, thus allowing this project to just produce a guidance document. If constraints or extensions become necessary, then a FHIR profile will be developed and jointly published, following HL7 processes to revise a project.
