Dietitians follow the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) when they see patients. The Nutrition Care Process includes steps of assessment, nutrition diagnosis, establishing interventions, and monitoring/evaluation. As part of each of these steps data is gathered or generated; the NCP also includes terminology that can be used in each of these steps. To assist dietitians with implementing FHIR, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics would like to create an IG to map the data and associated terminology for each of these steps to FHIR so that dietitians may easily gather and share their information.
