The source field description in the original GH model was not included in the product family models as noted by the fact that the element is missing from the Design Considerations table for RSG (http://hl7.org/xprod/ig/uv/gender-harmony/2022Sep/design.html). It was not included in either FHIR R5 or V2.9.1 and therefore should be removed from GH CDA RSG model.

Changes in CDA model will be deletion of the following sections:

      • Remove: 5. MAY contain zero or one [0..1] derivationExpr (CONF:4536-141). From RSG

Also update the confluence page noted thee CDA structure alignment (https://confluence.hl7.org/display/VOC/CDA+Gender+Harmony+Requirements

    Description

      • derivationExpr is a little known, and likely never implemented in systems, V3 attribute that was designed to be use with labs and in fact was deprecated in 2011- see  6.5.7 Act.derivationExpr in  https://vico.org/HL7_RIM/infrastructure/rim/rim.html (Though theoretically could be used since CDA is off an earlier RIM)
      • 3.1.1.6 Act.derivationExpr : in the CDA RIM, Definition: "Definition: A character string containing a formal language expression that specifies how the Act's attributes are (should be or have been) derived from input parameters associated with derivation relationships."
      • What would be your formal expression language formula used?

Note that we have stated DerivationExpr could be used in Assessment Scale Observation, to house the calculation, but Assessments Scales where this is used would have numbers that can be calculated
