This is a huge request, and maintaining the valueset would also require considerable work.  Not feasible to draw a sharp line between systemic medications and medications given as part of cancer therapy, so we intentionally don't make this restriction.

    Description

The CodeX eCQM use case is developing several FHIR-structured eCQMs based on ASCO CQMs to measure and improve care provided to cancer patients. The eCQMs require constraining the value set associated with .medication[x] in the Cancer-Related Medication Administration (and likely the Cancer-Related Medication Request) profiles to include only systemic therapies (e.g., chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy) versus including any/all medications that were ordered/administered r/t cancer (e.g., chemo, pain meds, anti-emetics).

The eCQMs seek to determine whether systemic therapy was started within a given number of days after 1) a confirmed diagnosis, or 2) an oncology consult.
