The Citation Resource is a core need for representing citation references in FHIR and is already used extensively in converting MEDLINE and ClinicalTrials.gov data to FHIR. The EBMonFHIR project is an extension of the co-sponsoring BRR, CDS and CQI Work Groups, all of which have use cases for Citation within their domains.
