Patient Matching
Description
This IG seems to blur the lines between patient and user (TEFCA does too).
To support pediatric use cases, adult care givers, etc., we should clearly split the user and patient concepts. Users have OpenID tokens, can do IAL, etc. Patients can't (in call cases, e.g., a 2 month old baby).
We may want to cover both User matching and Patient matching.
- User matching for B2C (what is normally known as patient-mediated exchange).
- Patient matching for B2B
We might consider updating:
- Adding a RelatedPerson profile for weighed matching
- Identifying places where IAL-n is reference, and being clear that it is the user doing this, not necessarily the patient.
